Embrace the Bike

Clients often ask, “Why doesn’t spin class get any easier?” The short answer is because when it gets easier you push it up a notch, you add a gear or increase your speed. Spinning is a great cardiovascular activity. It is high intensity training (HIT) at its finest. It is the easier path to reversing your biological age and increasing the elasticity of your heart. Spinning is anaerobic and helps to build lean muscle mass enabling calories to be burned more efficiently even while at rest.

Yes, walking, running and climbing stairs can be sources of cardiovascular activity but there is a limit to what your joints can take. At some point, enough is too much. Cycling can push you to your limits without damaging your joints.  Spinning doesn’t require coordination and you can do it in the gym or on the open road.

So, embrace the bike and appreciate it for being the incredible tool that it is. Understand that it buys you something you can’t get anywhere else in your life – the ability to constantly push yourself to maximum capacity without injury. What’s not to like about that?

If you are ready to maximize your cardiovascular fitness by incorporating spinning into your exercise routine, meet me at my brand new 7000 sq ft gym at 120 Country Club Gate Ctr, Pacific Grove, California, available everyday from 4am-10pm.  Call or text me today to get started (831)236-6199.
