Group Training versus Exercise Class

Are you taking an exercise class or are you building strength in a group training session? Many people confuse the two but there is a difference!

Typical exercise classes are designed to pack in as many participants as possible to maximize revenue. Instructors don’t have the knowledge or time to pay attention to individual performance and can’t afford to stop class to correct form or improper equipment use. As a result, you risk injury. You are also more likely to plateau because the instructor has to keep everyone in the safe zone rather than risk pushing some and while others struggle.

Participants in my group training sessions participate in one-on-one training sessions with me before I  invite them to participate in group  sessions. Why? Because I teach them how to use the equipment and do the exercises safely, so they are ready for group instruction. Even then, my small group sessions are part exercise, part education. I provide individual feedback throughout because I know your body. I unlock your potential, maximize your performance and teach you how to prevent injury. I also push you harder and so you progress more quickly. I have a thorough grounding in body mechanics, kinesiology and anatomy and will school you in the finer points of every exercise.

Don’t settle for a ho hum exercise class and don’t go it alone. If you are ready to get back to a fitness routine, meet me in the gym. Get the results you are looking for.  Call or text me today to get started, 831.236.6199.
