When it comes to fitness training the clothes (or shoes) don’t make the woman, technique does! The right training program performed incorrectly will hurt rather than help you. For example, when you do the clam shell exercise you need to feel it in your butt. That is why during training sessions I am constantly asking, “Where do you feel it?” I want to train your brain to focus on where you feel the exercises when they are executed correctly. Perform them correctly often enough and you won’t have to think about it.
Using the right muscles at the right time teaches your body proper motor pattern recruitment. This is essential for maintaining your balance and strength, especially as you age. Each of the seven fundamental movements that I teach have a proper set of techniques. Achieving results is directly tied to correct technique.
