Pre-pandemic no one would have considered offering online fitness training because there was zero interest. Fifteen months into COVID-19 and thousands of health enthusiasts have maintained their fitness goals because of the benefits of online training.
Shortly after COVID hit I began offering online training and will continue to do so now that meeting restrictions have eased. My clients appreciate the option of working out from their home or office when they can’t make it to the gym. By booking online appointments they can maintain their strength and mobility when stuck at the office, on vacation, or out of the town on business.
There are a variety of benefits to online training: maintaining consistency and structure, saving travel time, and preserving a long-term coaching relationship with your instructor when you relocate. A good trainer will have a huge repertoire of training techniques and can create a customized program that utilizes your home or office environment and requires minimum equipment. Regular workouts with a trainer instill the habit of health and are no longer contingent upon meeting in-person. Post-pandemic, virtual training is a value-add service.
